Governance
The are responsible for the mission, goals and management of the Digital Library as well as the preparation of a development agenda for programmatic actions. The Big Ten Ó£ÌÒÖ±²¥ has broad representation in HathiTrust governance. The University of Michigan and Indiana University are each allocated one appointed seat. The remaining founding institutions of the Big Ten Ó£ÌÒÖ±²¥, as a consortium, are each allocated two appointed seats.
Two agreements govern the development, investment, and stewardship of the HathiTrust Digital Library. Each participating Big Ten Ó£ÌÒÖ±²¥ library has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Big Ten Ó£ÌÒÖ±²¥. In turn the Big Ten Ó£ÌÒÖ±²¥, on behalf of its members, has signed a Shared Digital Repository Collaborative Effort Agreement between the Regents of the University of Michigan and the Big Ten Ó£ÌÒÖ±²¥.
